There’s always something happening at Good Shepherd.

The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd strives to extend Christ’s own radical hospitality to everything we do. Whether it’s an upcoming meeting, special service or noteworthy event, we work to build and strengthen relationships with one another and share the joy of life in community. Below is just some of what’s happening.

If you're planning an event at Good Shepherd, spread the word about your “happening” by telling us the details here.

A Service of Evening Prayer

Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 7:00 PM
Beneath the beauty and activity of summer, people still wrestle with grief, exhaustion, anxiety, loneliness, illness, and uncertainty. One gift of the church is creating space to remember that holiness, wholeness, and healing belong together. To mark God’s gift of healing in the light of Christ, we will gather for a Service of Evening Prayer. Through scripture, prayer, song, silence, anointing with oil, and prayer for healing, we will seek God’s renewing presence for ourselves, our neighbors, and the whole creation. Please join us.

The Communion of Saints: Why the Church Remembers

Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:15 AM
When we are baptized, we are joined to the body of Christ and to the communion of saints. This is a vast and diverse community of faithful people across generations and around the world. Throughout Christian history, the church has remembered women and men whose lives offer inspiring examples of discipleship, courage, service, and faith. From biblical figures and martyrs to musicians, reformers, theologians, and advocates for justice, the church's calendar introduces us to a remarkable community of faithful witnesses. Many of these witnesses enrich our worship, shape our prayer, and deepen our understanding of Christian discipleship. Why does the church remember figures as diverse as Mary Magdalene, Francis of Assisi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Martin Luther King Jr., and Dietrich Bonhoeffer? Join Pastor Scott in the Good Shepherd Classroom for an exploration of who these saints are, why the church remembers them, and what their stories can teach us about following Jesus today.
