Three times a month, a growing group of dedicated church members and neighboring friends meet to help bring comfort to those in need by way of prayer shawls. These shawls, lap robes, hats and pocket prayers are knitted or crocheted and given to anyone in need.
Besides exhibiting an unrivaled talent for beautiful work, the members have a passion for finding ways to bring comfort to others — whether they’re suffering from illness, personal crisis or loss of a loved one. The projects have been shared with many local friends and have even found their way across the country.
If you have a knack for knitting or crocheting, enjoy fellowship, conversation and prayer, and a desire for doing good, perhaps the Prayer Shawl Ministry is for you. The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30, the third Wednesday at 1:00, and the fourth Thursday at 6:30.
